Patient Participation Groups

The Aims of the Patient Participation Group (PPG)

To act as a ‘critical friend’ to the Practice to improve its provision of healthcare and to strengthen the relationship between patients and the Practice, by communicating Practice decision-making to patients and giving constructive criticism to the Practice from the patient viewpoint. Members of the group attend quarterly meetings and if you would like to know more please read PPG terms of reference and if you would like to apply, here is an application. Once completed please email the form as an attachment to [email protected] – or hand into the reception at the surgery.

The Aims of the Patient Reference Group (PRG)

When we require specific feedback on services we provide or are thinking about implementing, we will use either our Facebook page to garner opinions, or we will email/text our patients a questionnaire. If you would like to follow our Facebook page, simply search for Portsdown Group Practice.

OR: if you prefer, you can download the sign-up form below, print it out, fill it in, and post it to the Practice, put it through the letterbox, or hand it to a Receptionist.

We aim to acknowledge your request within a few days.

Please note that the PPG cannot become involved in matters of a specifically medical or clinical nature.
