Bowel Cancer Screening

Every 15 minutes, someone in England and Wales is diagnosed with bowel cancer. It is the second most common cause of cancer deaths in the UK. All adults aged between 54 and 74 years of age are sent a screening kit (known as a FIT Kit) every 2 years.

Asylum/Refugee

Friends without Borders

Friends Without Borders is a charity that provides support for asylum seekers, refugees and vulnerable migrants within the Portsmouth area. We have two main projects both of which are run from All Saints Church on Commercial Road in Portsmouth.

Migrant Help

Circumstances force many vulnerable people to flee their country in search of safety. Migrant Help works to ensure that those who arrive in the UK receive the support and advice they need. Asylum seekers are often amongst the most vulnerable in our society and our services offer information and guidance to help them navigate through the asylum process.

Refugee Council

We work directly with thousands of refugees each year. We support them from the moment they arrive in the UK. We provide crisis advice and practical support, help them to integrate into their new communities and offer mental health counselling to help them come to terms with the trauma so many of them have experienced. We are the only organisation providing a national service in support of refugee children and young people who arrive in the UK alone.
